Senior-level ITS Transportation Systems Analyst/Engineer
Consensus Systems Technologies is a highly specialized Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
consulting firm with expertise in Connected Vehicles (CV) and ITS standards development, systems
engineering, regional ITS architectures, and transit/mobility data sharing (such as GTFS). We are looking
for a senior-level candidate in the New York City Metropolitan region to join our small, nationally
recognized ITS consulting firm. We offer a hybrid workplace with an office in midtown Manhattan. The
types of projects our clients engage us in include:
• Performance of systems engineering analyses for multi-modal ITS and CV projects.
• Development, testing and maintenance of national ITS, connected vehicle, and mobility
standards.
• Development and maintenance of regional ITS architectures.
• Development of national implementation guidance documents for deploying CV applications.
• Development and management of transit- and mobility-related data and information.
You will lead the technical delivery of highly visible projects to state DOTs, regional and local agencies,
and transportation operators. We give senior professionals direct ownership over complex problems
that requires problem solving, people management, innovation, and initiative.
Salary Range is from $100,000 to $175,000, dependent on the qualifications and experience of the
candidate.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the successful candidate include working as a project manager or a subject matter
expert in a team to:
• Develop concept of operations documents by engaging regional and national stakeholders to
collect and document their transportation needs
• Derive requirements for specifications and ITS standards based on client- and stakeholder
transportation needs.
• Develop high level designs for ITS deployments.
• Develop detailed design for ITS and CV communications standards.
• Validate and verify ITS and CV communications standards, including the development of test
documentation.
• Develop and maintain regional ITS architectures, including developing hyper-linked web pages.
• Quality check and manage transit service data sets.
• Lead interviews with ITS stakeholder groups, develop presentations and lead workshops for
stakeholder engagements.
• Present technical material confidently to an audience of experienced professionals.
• Manage tasks and projects.

Senior ITS Engineer
TransCore (TCI), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Senior Intelligent Transportation Systems Engineer to join our Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) team in Manhattan, New York.
The successful candidate will participate in and lead ITS-related design and engineering projects working with agencies in the NY/NJ metropolitan area and across the United States. Typical projects will include the analysis and design of ITS solutions as well as projects that apply industry technologies and our own TransSuite® family of ITS products to deliver customized traffic management solutions that exceed our customers’ expectations.
The ideal candidate will perform the following roles:
• Client management throughout the project life-cycle.
• Preparing design plans, specifications, and estimates for projects including CCTV cameras, traffic detectors, dynamic message signs, other devices and associated power, and communications infrastructure.
• Provide technical direction and oversee the work of other staff performing systems engineering activities. Should be able to provide other staff with clear directions of project objectives and expected results from work assignments.
• Assisting other staff with potential work related to Traffic Engineering and Transit Signal Priority.
• Project management including- scheduling, progress reporting, invoicing, and managing project budgets.
• Coordination with other firms and agencies.
• Managing work of other designers and CAD personnel.
Salary Range: $150,000 – 190,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• NY Professional Engineering License.
• Experience in designing Intelligent Transportation Systems including: traffic monitoring systems, surveillance systems, and supporting infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare design packages and supporting documentation (specifications, estimates, etc.).
• Understanding of FHWA’s Systems Engineering processes and being able to implement this process for ITS projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including the proficient use of MS Office tools.
• Experience managing design projects including serving as customer interface, scheduling, and managing financial performance.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microstation.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.

• Familiarity with NYCDOT and NYSDOT design standards
• PTOE and PMP Certifications
